When Will was six months old we were able to finalize his adoption. Going to court was the last thing we had to do to legally make him ours. What a happy day! It was an interesting experience. Usually judges are dealing with criminals and other sad cases, so adoptions are one of the few happy cases they have, and they love it! I have never done anything like this, it was all so legal and official but we were excited to be there. My parents and Dave's Mom were able to come and support us. The excitement was too much for Will, he fell fast asleep. Afterwards we went out to lunch to celebrate. This day had been long awaited!
