Girl's Night

Dave was gone for a week so I had plenty of time to get together with friends.  It was Lindsey's birthday this month so we met up for dinner at one of her favorite restaurants, Cafe Rio.  It was so great to get together.  We live an hour apart, so we don't get to see each other as often as we would like, but like all best friends, when we do get together it is like we just saw each other yesterday.  I'm so lucky to have Lindsey in my life she is the best!  We laugh and cry and commiserate and I am so glad we are friends.

Sleepover with the Fam

Dave recently went out of town on a business trip so I decided to have some fun while he was gone.  I didn't want to be home alone all weekend so I invited my Mom, Grandma, Aunts, and Cousins over for a sleepover.  It was so great, just like being a little girl again.  Once everyone arrived I went and picked up pizzas.  After eating dinner we all got in our pajamas, covered the family room in pillows and blankets and ate treats and talked.  Of course we stayed up too late, but it was so nice to spend time together and catch up.  In the morning I made french toast and we had fresh fruit to go with it.

After breakfast we made a craft.  Everyone brought a mason jar and then we turned them into these cute soap dispensers.  I think they turned out pretty good!

Later we went for a walk around my neighborhood.  I think my neighbors were wondering who in the world all these people were ha ha.  It was such a beautiful day and I'm so glad I got to spend it with these wonderful ladies.  I love my family so much.  So lucky to have them!
