Home Sweet Home

This is the first picture we took of our perfect little boy.  I could not believe how incredibly tiny he was.  Being able to hold his little hand while he laid on the warmer was like a dream.  The joy I felt can not be described.  There is nothing quite as amazing as a newborn baby fresh from heaven.

After a couple days in the hospital we were able to take Will home.  He looked so small in his car seat I thought he would never grow into it!  We had brought a cute outfit to bring him home in, but he was so small he did not fit in it.  At least he was able to fit in his little hat!  We were so excited to leave the hospital an take Will home, but leaving Brooke behind was so hard!  My heart was breaking as we said goodbye to her and loaded him into the car.  It was so difficult to see her in pain.  She is such a strong woman, and I am so grateful for the great love she had for Will.

Once we were home Will took a nap in his bassinet.  We sent this picture to Brooke so she would know that we made it home safely and Will was settling in.  As hard as it was to leave her, it felt so good to be home.

A couple days later we were able to take Will to his very first visit with our pediatrician.  He did so well.  There is a lot of poking those first few weeks of being born but he handled it like a champ!  He did not even cry when he was circumcised.  He only began crying when the nurse picked his nose.  He did not like that at all!  We are so happy to have this strong, sweet boy in our family.
